How I envy those who can say what they want, and just beg someone to try and stop them. That's why I listen to Howard every morning, and yes I'm going to Sirius with him.

Back in 1978, the Rolling Stones had a song, "Some Girls," that offended Jesse Jackson. Jesse tried to make a stir of things, Mick held a press conference and said "F*** him" and that was that.

But only an elite few reach that level. Jada Pinkett Smith ain't there yet. Nor are Harvard freshman.

Come to think of it......what exactly WAS said?

Still chuckling at the thought of our very own Sarcazmo attending a fashion show.

Perhaps at the Stonewall Dinner your assertation that a guy/guy or gal/gal fashion show would have been more appropriate is true.

At Harvard I think they have a chip on their shoulder and are hiding behind the university to voice it.

But back in the day, attendance was over 900, and it was the place to see and be seen. I understand it was one of the biggest Stonewall events in the country.

There was a good piece in the Wall Street Opinion Journal about this.

On campus these days, it's hard to be sensitive.

There was a brief excerpt from the speech, and I would say that the BGLTSA members who felt uncomfortable were out of line. This type of over-sensitive response is not helpful to their cause -- save the protests for stuff that really is offensive. Goodness knows there is plenty of that around, no need to "cry wolf" on this. The next time the BGLTSA says something is offensive, people will remember this and say oh, they are whiners and oversensitive.
